〄  To Oν Οff Studio Athens παρουσιάζει μία βραδιά με τέσσερις συνθέσεις του Αλέξη Πορφυριάδη για τρίο, που δημιουργήθηκαν μεταξύ των ετών 2017 και 2025. Πιο συγκεκριμένα θα παρουσιαστούν οι συνθέσεις:

〄 Το μακροχρόνια φανερό-άφανο μουσικό ντουέτο ονόματι TUSK, παρουσιάζει την ηχητική εγκατάσταση του, It’s understood you’re pressed for time στο Ov Off Studio.
Το it’s understood you’re pressed for time είναι μουσική γραμμένη ως ηχητική εγκατάσταση που παρουσιάζεται μέσα από διάσπαρτα ηχεία και ενισχυτές.
Κύρια πηγή έμπνευσης είναι η σκέψη να δώσεις χρόνο στο μυαλό και τον εαυτό σου να σβήσει για λίγη ώρα μέσα στη μέρα.
Ένα διάλειμμα για το μυαλό, χρόνος να αφουγκραστείς.

Μόλις η μουσική ξεκινήσει η πόρτα θα παραμείνει κλειστή για τη διάρκεια της εγκατάστασης.
Διάρκεια στα 45 λεπτά.

Είσοδος ελεύθερη. Θα υπάρχει κουτί ελεύθερης συνεισφοράς με προτεινόμενη τα 5 ευρώ.

It’s understood you’re pressed for time is music written as a sound installation, presented through scattered speakers and amplifiers.
The main source of inspiration is the thought of giving your mind and yourself the time to switch off for a little while during the day. A break for the mind, time to listen.

Once the music begins, the door will remain closed for the duration of the installation.

〄 Τέσσερις διακεκριμένοι μουσικοί της σύγχρονης σκηνής συναντιούνται στο Ον Off studio για να συνοδεύσουν ζωντανά ταινίες ενός από τους σημαντικότερους πειραματικούς σκηνοθέτες του 20ού αιώνα, του Hollis Frampton.

Ʃε μια βραδιά όπου η εικόνα συναντά τον ήχο σε πραγματικό χρόνο, η Νικολέτα Χατζοπούλου (viola da gamba, φωνή, εφέ), ο Άγγελος Μαστραντώνης (βιολί), ο Βασίλης Τζαβάρας (κιθάρα, εφέ, loops) και ο Ʃτέφανος Ψαραδάκης (κρουστά, electronics) δημιουργούν ένα αυτοσχεδιαστικό ηχητικό σύμπαν για τις εμβληματικές ταινίες του Frampton.

Ο Frampton, γνωστός για τη δομική του προσέγγιση και την ποιητική αφαίρεση, προσφέρει το ιδανικό έδαφος για ηχητική εξερεύνηση η οποία δεν λειτουργεί απλά ως συνοδεία, αλλά ως ένα δεύτερο, παράλληλο επίπεδο αφήγησης.

Μια ξεχωριστή ευκαιρία να ξαναδούμε (και να ακούσουμε) τον Hollis Frampton μέσα από τα μάτια και τα αυτιά τεσσάρων σύγχρονων δημιουργών.

🔸 Ο Άγγελος Μαστραντώνης (Αθήνα, 1990) σπούδασε στο Τμήμα Μουσικών Ʃπουδών του Ιονίου Πανεπιστημίου. Το 2017 ολοκλήρωσε τις μεταπτυχιακές του σπουδές στην σύνθεση στο Reid School of Music του Πανεπιστημίου του Εδιμβούργου. Είναι κάτοχος διδακτορικού τίτλου στην σύνθεση από το Πανεπιστήμιο του Εδιμβούργου, υπό την επίβλεψη των Peter Nelson και Dr Gareth Williams. Ως συνθέτης είχε συνεργασίες με τα Red Note Ensemble, Edinburgh Quartet, Chimera Ensemble, την Edinburgh University String Orchestra και το Reid School of Music Ensemble of Contemporary Music. Έχει αποσπάσει το πρώτο βραβείο στον διαγωνισμό Emre Araci Composition Competition 2016, στον διαγωνισμό σύνθεσης ‘New Sounds for Old Instruments’ 2017 του μουσείου οργάνων St. Cecilia’s του Εδιμβούργου και στο διαγωνιστικό τμήμα του Εργαστηρίου Νέων Ελλήνων Ʃυνθετών 2014 της ΕΕΜ. Έχει λάβει το ECAT Composition Prize 2021 ενώ βραβεύτηκε για το έργο του ‘3 Simulcara of Songs by George Gershwin’ στον διαγωνισμό σύνθεσης της ΕΕΜ για 2 πιάνα στην μνήμη του Θεόδωρου Αντωνίου το 2023. Είναι μέλος του art rock σχηματος “Spooky Redrum” και του Elektronika group “Deathbed”.

🔸 Ο Βασίλης Τζαβάρας γεννήθηκε στο Παρίσι το 1973. Δουλεύει ως επαγγελματίας μουσικός, μουσικοπαιδαγωγός, συνθέτης και τραγουδιστής από το 1993. Ιδρυτικό μέλος των μουσικών σχημάτων Occasional Dream, Take the money and run, Project 37, 4+1, Silent Move, LYD Quartet, της θεατρικής ομάδας Atonal και της καλλιτεχνικής-εκπαιδευτικής ομάδας Gnous. Έχει σπουδάσει jazz κιθάρα και πιάνο, jazz αυτοσχεδιασμό, ανώτερα θεωρητικά και σύνθεση (δίπλωμα με Άριστα παμψηφεί, 2007). Ʃυμμετείχε στη Biennale Νέων Καλλιτεχνών στη Ρώμη το 1999 με τους Occasional Dream, στην Αθήνα το 2003 με το Project 37 καθώς και στα 2ο και 3ο Φεστιβάλ Νέων Καλλιτεχνών στην Άγκυρα (Occasional Dream 2000/2001). Ʃυμμετείχε στα «Workshop Νέων Ελλήνων Ʃυνθετών» που πραγματοποιήθηκαν στο Μέγαρο Αθηνών (Ιανουάριος 2008). Υπήρξε τακτικός συνεργάτης – αρθρογράφος – του διαδικτυακού μουσικού περιοδικού TaR (2009-2013) και ραδιοφωνικός παραγωγός στο διαδικτυακό ραδιοφωνικό σταθμό Radiobubble (2011-2013). Διοργάνωσε και επιμελήθηκε τα φεστιβάλ “Last Phrase Project” με συμμετοχή πολλών νέων καλλιτεχνών (εικαστικών, μουσικών κ.α.), “Guitar day” και “Impro day” (Open C.A.S.E. 303 2013, 2014, 2015).

🔸 Η Νικολέτα Χατζοπούλου είναι συνθέτις, περφόρμερ της βιόλα ντα γκάμπα, ερευνήτρια του ήχου και επιστήμονας — μια «metamodern» οραματίστρια που κινείται στο μεταίχμιο μουσικής, αρχιτεκτονικής και αστροφυσικής. Το έργο της εκτείνεται από μουσική δωματίου και ηλεκτροακουστικές συνθέσεις έως όπερες δωματίου και έργα για φωνή, αλγοριθμική και site-specific μουσική, που έχει παρουσιαστεί διεθνώς σε χώρους όπως το Mass MoCA, την Όπερα της Λειψίας, την Αρχαία Ρωμαϊκή Αγορά της Αθήνας, το Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ, με αναθέσεις από τους Bang on a Can, την Ʃτέγη Γραμμάτων και Τεχνών του Ιδρύματος Ωνάσση, το Korzo Theater και το ΕΜƩΤ, μεταξύ άλλων. Ως περφόρμερ, ταλαντεύεται μεταξύ παλαιάς και σύγχρονης μουσικής στο πλαίσιο πολυμεσικών παραστάσεων και αυτοσχεδιασμού. Ταυτόχρονα εξελίσσει μία σόλο περφόρμανς για βιόλα ντα γκάμπα, αναλογικά ηλεκτρονικά και φωνή που συνδιαλέγεται ανάμεσα στο αρχαϊκό και το συνθετικό. Το 2018 ίδρυσε την NGallery, ένα ζωντανό εργαστήρι όπου καλλιτέχνες, επιστήμονες και στοχαστές συναντώνται για να δημιουργήσουν πέρα από όρια και κατηγοριοποιήσεις. Η ακαδημαϊκή της έρευνα εξερευνά τη σχέση σιωπής και θορύβου, χώρου και ήχου σε κάθε κλίμακα της συνθετικής σκέψης που αποτυπώνεται στο Hybrid Score — μια πρωτότυπη μέθοδο σύνθεσης στον χωροχρόνο σε υβριδικά και διαδραστικά περιβάλλοντα, αντικείμενο της διδακτορικής της διατριβής στο Πολυτεχνείο Κρήτης.

🔸 Ο Ʃτέφανος Ψαραδάκης είναι πτυχιούχος κλασικής σύνθεσης του τμήματος Μουσικών Ʃπουδών του Ιονίου Πανεπιστημίου. Παράλληλα έχει σπουδάσει κλασικά κρουστά και modern drums. Έχει συμμετοχές σε διάφορα γκρουπ της εγχώριας σκηνής όπως και σε συμφωνικές ορχήστρες (KOA, Ε.Ʃ.Ο ΕΡΤ, Φιλαρμόνια Ορχήστρα Αθηνών). Τα τελευταία χρόνια εξερευνά το ηχητικό πεδίο με τη χρήση συμβατικών οργάνων, καθημερινών αντικειμένων, field recordings και ηλεκτρονικών υπολογιστών. Γράφει μουσική για ταινίες μικρού μήκους και παραστάσεις ενώ ασχολείται με τον ελεύθερο αυτοσχεδιασμό σε σόλο ή ensemble performances.

〄 Four distinguished musicians of the contemporary scene meet at Ov Off Studio to provide live accompaniment to films by one of the most important experimental directors of the 20th century, Hollis Frampton.

In an evening where image meets sound in real-time, Nikoleta Chatzopoulou (viola da gamba, voice, effects), Angelos Mastrantonis (violin), Vasilis Tzavaras (guitar, effects, loops), and Stefanos Psaradakis (percussion, electronics) create an improvisational sonic universe for Frampton’s iconic films.

Frampton, known for his structural approach and poetic abstraction, offers the ideal ground for sonic exploration that functions not merely as an accompaniment, but as a second, parallel layer of narration. A unique opportunity to see (and hear) Hollis Frampton again through the eyes and ears of four contemporary creators.

🔸 Angelos Mastrantonis (Athens, 1990) studied at the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University. In 2017, he completed his postgraduate studies in composition at the Reid School of Music, University of Edinburgh. He holds a PhD in composition from the University of Edinburgh, under the supervision of Peter Nelson and Dr. Gareth Williams. As a composer, he has collaborated with the Red Note Ensemble, Edinburgh Quartet, Chimera Ensemble, the Edinburgh University String Orchestra, and the Reid School of Music Ensemble of Contemporary Music. He won first prize in the Emre Araci Composition Competition 2016, the ‘New Sounds for Old Instruments’ composition competition 2017 at the St. Cecilia’s Hall Museum in Edinburgh, and in the competition section of the Greek Composers Union (G.C.U.) Young Composers Workshop 2014. He received the ECAT Composition Prize 2021 and was awarded for his work ‘3 Simulcra of Songs by George Gershwin’ in the G.C.U. composition competition for 2 pianos in memory of Theodore Antoniou in 2023. He is a member of the art rock group “Spooky Redrum” and the Electronika group “Deathbed”.

🔸 Vasilis Tzavaras was born in Paris in 1973. He has worked as a professional musician, music educator, composer, and singer since 1993. Founding member of the musical groups Occasional Dream, Take the money and run, Project 37, 4+1, Silent Move, LYD Quartet, the theater group Atonal, and the artistic-educational group Gnous. He studied jazz guitar and piano, jazz improvisation, advanced theory, and composition (diploma with Distinction, 2007). He participated in the Biennale of Young Artists in Rome in 1999 with Occasional Dream, in Athens in 2003 with Project 37, as well as in the 2nd and 3rd Festivals of Young Artists in Ankara (Occasional Dream 2000/2001). He participated in the “Young Greek Composers Workshops” held at the Athens Concert Hall (January 2008). He was a regular collaborator—writer—for the online music magazine TaR (2009-2013) and a radio producer at the online station Radiobubble (2011-2013). He organized and curated the festivals “Last Phrase Project” with the participation of many young artists (visual artists, musicians, etc.), “Guitar day”, and “Impro day” (Open C.A.S.E. 303 2013, 2014, 2015).

🔸 Nikoleta Chatzopoulou is a composer, viola da gamba performer, sound researcher, and scientist—a “metamodern” visionary operating at the intersection of music, architecture, and astrophysics. Her work ranges from chamber music and electroacoustic compositions to chamber operas and works for voice, algorithmic, and site-specific music, presented internationally at venues such as Mass MoCA, the Leipzig Opera, the Ancient Roman Agora of Athens, and Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ, with commissions from Bang on a Can, the Onassis Stegi, Korzo Theater, and EMST, among others. As a performer, she fluctuates between early and contemporary music within multimedia performances and improvisation. Simultaneously, she is developing a solo performance for viola da gamba, analog electronics, and voice that engages in a dialogue between the archaic and the synthetic. In 2018, she founded NGallery, a living lab where artists, scientists, and thinkers meet to create beyond boundaries and categorizations. Her academic research explores the relationship between silence and noise, space and sound across every scale of compositional thought, captured in the Hybrid Score—an original method of composition in spacetime within hybrid and interactive environments, the subject of her doctoral thesis at the Technical University of Crete.

🔸 Stefanos Psaradakis holds a degree in classical composition from the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University. Concurrently, he has studied classical percussion and modern drums. He has participated in various groups of the domestic scene as well as in symphony orchestras (Athens State Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of ERT, Philharmonia Orchestra of Athens). In recent years, he has been exploring the sonic field using conventional instruments, everyday objects, field recordings, and computers. He writes music for short films and performances while engaging in free improvisation in solo or ensemble performances.

Μια αφήγηση όπου τα λαϊκά παραμύθια συναντούν το beatbox!

Οι Σουσουράδες αφηγούνται λαϊκά παραμύθια από την προφορική παράδοση των λαών και τραγουδούν παραδοσιακά τραγούδια με θέμα την Γυναίκα Ηρωίδα. Μαζί τους ο Γιώργος Γαργάλας δίνει “beat” στα λόγια και ντύνει με μουσική τα παραμύθια.
Παραμύθια από τις προφορικές παραδόσεις των λαών του κόσμου εκφράζουν την λαϊκή κατακραυγή ενάντια στην πατριαρχική βία σε εποχές που τα εγκλήματα κατά των γυναικών δικαιολογούνταν ως εγκλήματα τιμής και ερωτικού πάθους. Όμως οι παραμυθούδες κρατούσαν ζωντανή τη μνήμη των θυμάτων, των αδελφών τους, και ο συμβολικός λόγος του παραμυθιού δικαίωνε τις κακοποιημένες, έστω και σε επίπεδο φαντασιακό. Άλλωστε στα παραμύθια δεν υπάρχει αγιάτρευτη πληγή. Έτσι και η παραμυθιακή Ηρωίδα πάντοτε αναδεικνύεται Νικήτρια της Ζωής, Αυτόνομη και Ανεξάρτητη, Κυρία της Εαυτής της.

A narration where folk fairytales meet beatbox!

The Sousourades narrate folk fairytales from the oral traditions of the world and sing traditional songs with the theme of the Woman Heroine. Along with them, Giorgos Gargalas gives a “beat” to the words and dresses the fairytales with music.
Fairytales from the oral traditions of the peoples of the world express the public outcry against patriarchal violence in times when crimes against women were justified as crimes of honor and erotic passion. However, the female storytellers kept the memory of the victims, their sisters, alive, and the symbolic language of the fairytale vindicated the abused, even on an imaginary level. After all, in fairytales, there is no wound that cannot be healed. Thus, the fairytale Heroine always emerges as a Winner of Life, Autonomous and Independent, Mistress of Herself.

Το Ov Off υποδέχεται τους ΚΡΟΥΝ. Ένα μουσικό σχήμα με πρωτότυπα έργα βασισμένα σε φυσικό ήχο κρουστών, microtiming και beatbox. 
Στις εμφανίσεις τους, συμπεριλαμβάνουν το κοινό στην επιτέλεση, για αυτό το λόγο ο χώρος θα διαμορφωθεί για αυθόρμητη κίνηση ή και κατάκλιση κοντά στις πηγές του ήχου.

Στην Οθωμανική Κωνσταντινούπολη, στα μέσα του 19ου αιώνα, έκαναν την εμφάνισή
τους τα σεμαΐ καφενεία (semai kahvehaneleri), τα οποία αποτέλεσαν βασικό χώρο
κοινωνικοποίησης και συνάντησης των κατώτερων λαϊκών στρωμάτων. Οι θαμώνες τους
προέρχονταν κυρίως από επαγγελματικές ομάδες όπως οι τουλουμπατζήδες (εθελοντικές
ομάδες πυροσβεστών), οι βαρκάρηδες, οι χαμάληδες, οι χαμαμτζήδες και οι αμαξάδες, οι
οποίοι καλλιέργησαν και διαμόρφωσαν μια ιδιαίτερη και χαρακτηριστική μουσική
παράδοση.
Αντιθέτως, τα μεσαία και ανώτερα κοινωνικά στρώματα απέφευγαν τα σεμαΐ καφενεία,
καθώς συχνά θεωρούνταν ανασφαλείς ή ακατάλληλοι χώροι, στους οποίους τα λαϊκά
στρώματα (ayak takımı, «όχλος των αχρείων») εκφράζονταν μουσικοκοινωνικά με έντονο
και αυθόρμητο τρόπο. Έτσι, περίπου την ίδια εποχή έκαναν την εμφάνισή τους τα
kıraathane, χώροι όπου γινόταν ανάγνωση βιβλίων, περιοδικών και εφημερίδων (η λέξη
kıraat προέρχεται από τα αραβικά και σημαίνει «ανάγνωση»). Σταδιακά, και παράλληλα με
τις αναγνωστικές δραστηριότητες, τα kıraathane ενσωμάτωσαν και μουσικές παραστάσεις,
με ρεπερτόριο που έφερε περισσότερο «κλασικό» χαρακτήρα, διαφοροποιημένο αισθητά
από το μουσικό ιδίωμα των σεμαΐ καφενείων.
Στη συναυλία, οι Çağlar Fidan, Νίκος Παπαγεωργίου και Erhan Bayram ερχόμενοι από την
Κωνσταντινούπολη, θα παρουσιάσουν ένα πρόγραμμα με έργα που αντλούν από αυτές τις
δύο διακριτές μουσικές σφαίρες, αναδεικνύοντας σε αισθητικό επίπεδο τόσο
διαφοροποιήσεις όσο και ομοιότητες.

Istanbul : The Music of the city.
Music of Istanbul Coffeehouses.

In mid-19th century Ottoman Constantinople, the so-called semai coffeehouses (semai kahvehaneleri) began to appear. These venues became important meeting places and hubs of social life for the city’s lower social classes. Their regulars were mostly drawn from professional groups such as the tulumbacıs (volunteer firefighters), boatmen, porters, bath attendants, and coachmen. Within these circles, a distinctive musical tradition was cultivated and shaped.

By contrast, the middle and upper classes tended to avoid the semai coffeehouses, which were often seen as unsafe or unsuitable places, where the urban working poor (ayak takımı, literally “rabble” or “riffraff”) expressed themselves musically and socially in a spontaneous and passionate manner. Around the same time, a new type of venue appeared: the kıraathane. The word kıraat comes from Arabic and means “reading,” and indeed these establishments were initially places for reading books, magazines, and newspapers. Over time, however, alongside these reading activities, kıraathane also began to host musical performances, featuring a repertoire that leaned more toward the “classical” tradition, setting them apart from the musical idioms of the semai coffeehouses.

In this concert, Çağlar Fidan, Nikos Papageorgiou, and Erhan Bayram, traveling from Istanbul, will present a program that draws on these two distinct musical worlds, highlighting both their contrasts and their unexpected affinities.

Ένα φωνητικό ταξίδι 3 ωρών στο σώμα ως πεδίο αντήχησης μεταμόρφωσης, σύνδεσης και δημιουργίας. Ανοιχτό σε αρχάριους και έμπειρους εξερευνητές της φωνής, το Resonance Lab είναι μια σύναξη για όσους ενδιαφέρονται για παραστατικές, σωματικές και πειραματικές φωνητικές πρακτικές.

Η φωνή, ως μετασχηματισμός του αέρα σε ήχο, είναι το αποτέλεσμα μιας ζωτικής ανταλλαγής με τον κόσμο.

Μέσα από βαθιά ακρόαση, κίνηση και συλλογικό φαντασιακό παιχνίδι, καλούμε εξαιρετικές καταστάσεις παρουσίας, ανοίγοντας τη φωνή στη σύνδεσή της με τον χώρο, την ύλη και τη μνήμη, πέρα από τα όρια της συμβατικής γλώσσας. Βασισμένο σε σωματική πρακτική και φωνητική θεραπεία, αυτό το εργαστήριο προσκαλεί τους συμμετέχοντες να εξερευνήσουν το σώμα ως ζωντανό, ηχηρό αρχείο: πάντα σε μεταβολή, πάντα σε σχέση.

Η συνεδρία βασίζεται σε τέσσερις κεντρικές δράσεις:

Αναπνέω: Ρυθμοί και κινήσεις που καθοδηγούν τον αέρα. Η ζωτική αρχή της συστολής και της διαστολής.

Αντηχώ: Το φαινόμενο της διπλής επίδρασης της φωνής. Σωματική ακρόαση, ηχητικά εφέ και συναισθήματα.

Κατευθύνω: Χωρική στόχευση της ηχητικής πρόθεσης και η σχέση με τον ακροατή.
Επεκτείνω: Ακρόαση και το σώμα της φωνής—η διάδοσή της στον χώρο και η μετάδοσή της σε συναντήσεις.

 

Μαζί θα εξερευνήσουμε:

Τεχνικό: Αναπνοή, ηχητική αντήχηση και γείωση μέσω ανατομικής επίγνωσης και ήχου

Διαισθητικό: Προσωπικά φωνητικά ρεπερτόρια, προγονική μνήμη και αυθόρμητη κίνηση σώματος-φωνής

Σχεσιακό: Πολυαισθητηριακή ακρόαση, αντήχηση με το περιβάλλον και το μη-ανθρώπινο, και ομαδικός αυτοσχεδιασμός

Προσεγγίζουμε τη φωνή τόσο ως όργανο όσο και ως μέσο/φορέα δόνησης, γλώσσας και σύνδεσης. Το εργαστήριο ολοκληρώνεται με μια συλλογική εμβυθιστική φωνητική παράσταση, διαμορφωμένη από τη δημιουργική διαδικασία της ομάδας.

Σε ποιους απευθύνεται;
Καλλιτέχνες, περφόρμερς, χορευτές, τραγουδιστές, ηχοεξερευνητές και όποιον νιώθει περιέργεια για τη φωνή του. Δεν απαιτείται προηγούμενη εμπειρία. Το εργαστήριο προσαρμόζεται σε διαφορετικές σωματικές ικανότητες και δίνει προτεραιότητα στην προσβασιμότητα.

Γλώσσα: Το εργαστήριο θα διεξαχθεί στα Αγγλικά.

Τι να φέρετε: Άνετα ρούχα για κίνηση και ένα κείμενο ή τραγούδι στη μητρική σας γλώσσα (προαιρετικά).

A 3-hour vocal journey into the body as a resonant field of transformation, connection, and creation. Open to beginners and experienced voice explorers alike, Resonance Lab is a gathering for anyone interested in performative, somatic, and experimental voice practices.

The voice, as the transformation of air into sound, is the result of a vital exchange with the world.

Through deep listening, movement, and collective imaginative play, we summon extraordinary states of presence, opening the voice to its connection with space, matter, and memory—beyond the limits of conventional language. Rooted in somatic practice and voice therapy, this lab invites participants to explore the body as a living, sounding archive: always shifting, always in relation.

The session is built around four central actions:

Breathe: Rhythms and movements to guide the air. The vital principle of contraction and expansion.

Resonate: The phenomenon of the voice’s double affectation. Somatic listening, sound effects and affects.

Direct: Spatialization of sonic intention and the relationship with the listener.

Expand: Listening and the body of the voice—its propagation through space and its transmission in encounters.

Together we’ll explore:

Technical: Breathwork, vocal resonance, and grounding through anatomical awareness and sound

Intuitive: Personal vocal registers, ancestral memory, and spontaneous body-voice movement

Relational: Multisensory listening, environmental and non-human resonance, and group improvisation

We approach the voice as both instrument and medium—carrying vibration, language, and connection. The workshop concludes with a collective immersive vocal performance, shaped by the group’s creative process.

Who is it for?

Artists, performers, dancers, singers, sound explorers, and anyone curious about their voice. No prior experience required. The workshop is adaptable to a range of physical abilities and prioritizes accessibility.

Language: The workshop will be led in English.

Η IRENE RODEVIA (γενν. 1988, Κολομβία) είναι διεπιστημονική καλλιτέχνιδα, τραγουδίστρια και φωνητική θεραπεύτρια που εργάζεται στη διασταύρωση της ηχητικής τέχνης, της σωματικής πρακτικής και της περφόρμανς. Με το όνομα IRAKARA, δημιουργεί έργα που συνδυάζουν διευρυμένες φωνητικές τεχνικές, ενσώματη φωνητική έρευνα και ηχοοικολογία, επαναπροσδιορίζοντας τη φωνή ως εργαλείο αντίληψης, θεραπείας και κοινωνικού μετασχηματισμού. Η πρακτική της επικεντρώνεται στη φωνή ως σχεσιακό, αισθητηριακό και συλλογικό μέσο που συνδέει την καλλιτεχνική δημιουργία με θεραπευτικά και παιδαγωγικά πλαίσια.

Έχει παρουσιάσει πρωτότυπο έργο και έχει οργανώσει εργαστήρια σε πλατφόρμες όπως: Global Artivism (Νότια Αφρική), Reactivating Exile Capacities (R.E.C) Residency (Πορτογαλία), Salón Nacional de Artistas SNA45 και SNA46 (Κολομβία), Museo La Tertulia (Κάλι), Plataforma Caníbal (Μπαρανκίγια) και Experimenta Sur – Live arts International Platform. Το ερευνητικό της πρότζεκτ Cuerpos Resonantes, που έχει αναγνωριστεί από το Υπουργείο Πολιτισμού της Κολομβίας, δημιουργεί πολυαισθητηριακές, συμπεριληπτικές ηχητικές εμπειρίες για ποικίλες κοινότητες ακροατών, συνδυάζοντας πειραματικό ηχητικό σχεδιασμό με σωματική παιδαγωγική.

Ως συνθέτρια και περφόρμερ, έχει δημιουργήσει πρωτότυπες μουσικές για κινηματογράφο, θέατρο και ζωντανές παραστατικές τέχνες, ενσωματώνοντας την αντήχηση του σώματος και τον αυτοσχεδιασμό στη μουσική της. Έχει σπουδάσει βιομηχανικό σχεδιασμό, ανθρωποσοφική φωνητική θεραπεία και live arts, και έχει αναπτύξει τις δικές της μεθοδολογίες που συνδυάζουν θεραπευτική ηχητική εργασία με σύγχρονες παραστατικές πρακτικές. Η Irene είναι ιδρύτρια του Voz a Vos, ενός στούντιο έρευνας και δημιουργίας με επίκεντρο τη φωνή, την οικολογία και τη διευρυμένη ακρόαση.

IRENE RODEVIA (b. 1988, Colombia) is a transdisciplinary artist, singer, and vocal therapist working at the intersection of sound art, somatic practice, and performance. Under the name IRAKARA, she creates work that combines extended vocal technique, embodied voice research, and sound ecology to reimagine voice as a tool for perception, healing, and social transformation. Her practice centers on voice as a relational, sensorial, and collective medium that connects artistic creation with therapeutic and pedagogical frameworks.

She has presented original work and conducted laboratories in platforms such as Global Artivism (South Africa); Reactivating Exile Capacities (R.E.C) Residency (Portugal); Salón Nacional de Artistas SNA45 and SNA46 (Colombia); Museo La Tertulia (Cali); Plataforma Caníbal (Barranquilla); and Experimenta Sur – Live arts International Plantform. Her research-based project Cuerpos Resonantes, recognized by the Colombian Ministry of Culture, creates multisensory, inclusive sound experiences for diverse hearing communities, blending experimental sound design with somatic pedagogy.

As a composer and performer, she has created original scores for film, theater, and live art, integrating body resonance and improvisation into her music. She draws on training in industrial design, anthroposophic singing therapy, and live arts, and has developed her own methodologies that combine therapeutic soundwork with contemporary performance practices. Irene is the founder of Voz a Vos, a research and creation studio focused on voice, ecology, and expanded listening.

Το Ludus Duo, με τη συμμετοχή της Αμερικανίδας μουσικού Stacey Barelos και της Ιταλίδας πιανίστριας Arianna Granieri, θα παρουσιάσει ένα τολμηρό πρόγραμμα έργων για πιάνο-παιχνίδι και πιάνο στις 30 Μαΐου στις 9:00 μ.μ. στο Ov/Off Studio. Η συναυλία θα περιλαμβάνει συνθέσεις Ιταλών, Αμερικανών και άλλων διεθνών συνθετών, αναδεικνύοντας την καινοτόμα προσέγγιση του ντουέτου στη σύγχρονη μουσική.

Στο πρόγραμμα συμμετέχει και ο Έλληνας ηχητικός καλλιτέχνης και συνθέτης Στέλιος Γιαννουλάκης, ενώ τη βραδιά ανοίγει η τραγουδοποιός Junolia.

Το Ludus Duo είναι γνωστό για τις παιγνιώδεις αλλά και βαθιά εκφραστικές ερμηνείες του, συνδυάζοντας παραδοσιακές και πειραματικές τεχνικές. Αυτή η συναυλία υπόσχεται ένα συναρπαστικό ταξίδι μέσα από απροσδόκητα ηχοτοπία, όπου οι λεπτές αποχρώσεις του πιάνου-παιχνιδιού συναντούν τη συντονισμένη αντήχηση και τη δύναμη των κρουστών.

Bio.

Η Arianna Granieri είναι Ιταλίδα πιανίστρια, περφόρμερ και αυτοσχεδιάστρια με πολλαπλά καλλιτεχνικά ενδιαφέροντα, που περιλαμβάνουν τη μουσική έρευνα και την αλληλεπίδραση της μουσικής με άλλες μορφές τέχνης. Αποφοίτησε με άριστα και έπαινο στο Πιάνο από το «Conservatorio Santa Cecilia» στη Ρώμη και ολοκλήρωσε με άριστα το Μεταπτυχιακό της στη Φιλοσοφία στο «Università Tor Vergata». Έχει παρακολουθήσει πολλά masterclasses, όπως το Darmstadt Summer Courses, International Divertimento Ensemble Academy στο Μιλάνο και New Music Week στη Ρώμη.
Έχει εμφανιστεί σε πολλά φεστιβάλ, μουσικά ιδρύματα και αίθουσες συναυλιών, ερμηνεύοντας συχνά ιταλικές και παγκόσμιες πρεμιέρες, όπως στο Orpheus Institut (Βέλγιο), Akademie Fur Tonkunst (Γερμανία), Strauss Performing Art Center (ΗΠΑ), Auditorium Parco della Musica, Conservatorio Santa Cecilia, Institute of Japanese Culture, ArteScienza, Nuova Consonanza στη Ρώμη, OGR στο Τορίνο, Castello di Rivoli, ERT στη Μόντενα, A.M.A. Calabria και άλλα, συνεργαζόμενη με ερευνητικά κέντρα και διακεκριμένους περφόρμερ, συνθέτες, ερευνητές και μουσικολόγους όπως οι Alessandro Sbordoni, Stefano Gervasoni, Clément Canonne, Stacey Barelos, Christina Oorebek, Alessandro Mastropietro κ.ά.
Ως μέλος του «Ludus Duo» με τη συνθέτρια Stacey Barelos, εμφανίστηκε το 2022–2023 στην Ιταλία και στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες. Είναι επίσης μέλος της ομάδας αυτοσχεδιασμού Exàifnes υπό την καλλιτεχνική διεύθυνση του Alessandro Sbordoni, καθώς και των σχημάτων XYZ και The Empty Bowl.
Ασχολείται επίσης με τη διδασκαλία. Δίδαξε Πιάνο στο Conservatorio Santa Cecilia επί δύο έτη ως «Cultore della materia». Υπήρξε καθηγήτρια Πρακτικής και αναγνωστικής στο πιάνο στο «Conservatorio di Trieste» και διδάσκει σήμερα Πιάνο σε Λύκειο του Guidonia.

Η Dr. Stacey Barelos είναι συνθέτρια, περφόρμερ και παιδαγωγός, της οποίας το έργο έχει φτάσει σε ακροατήρια σε πέντε ηπείρους. Οι συνθέσεις της, μεταξύ των οποίων και το Clockworks που παρουσιάστηκε στο Monte Compatri Film Festival στη Ρώμη το 2023, κυκλοφορούν από τις δισκογραφικές Albany, Centaur και Blue Griffin. Έχει λάβει δύο υποψηφιότητες για το Omaha Entertainment and Arts Award και της απονεμήθηκε επιχορήγηση από τον οργανισμό Bemis Community Arts το 2023. Το 2024, τιμήθηκε με τη χορηγία Fortuna για να ηχογραφήσει ήχους της πόλης ως μέρος σύνθεσης με ευρήματα και πιάνα-παιχνίδια.

Παίζει τακτικά με το Ludus Duo, ένα ντουέτο πληκτροφόρων που ίδρυσε με την Ιταλίδα πιανίστρια Arianna Granieri. Το έργο της ως πιανίστρια και συνθέτρια την έχει φέρει σε σκηνές σε όλη την Αμερική και στο εξωτερικό, μεταξύ αυτών και η πρεμιέρα του έργου της Teleidoscope για σύνολο πνευστών στο New Paltz της Νέας Υόρκης το 2024. Τον Απρίλιο του 2025 θα είναι η κεντρική καλεσμένη στο Φεστιβάλ Νέας Μουσικής του Πανεπιστημίου Nebraska-Kearney.
Ως παιδαγωγός, δημιούργησε το Soundry, ένα πειραματικό μουσικό πρόγραμμα που ενθαρρύνει ανθρώπους κάθε ηλικίας να εξερευνήσουν και να δημιουργήσουν με τον ήχο.
Πιστοποιημένη στο Deep Listening από το 2021, προσφέρει εργαστήρια και μαθήματα σε όλη τη Midwest και πέραν αυτής. Στις εκπαιδευτικές της καινοτομίες περιλαμβάνονται οι Creativity Cards (2022), μια σειρά καρτών για την ενίσχυση της δημιουργικότητας σε μαθητές πιάνου και εγχόρδων.
Το πολυδιάστατο έργο της Dr. Barelos ως συνθέτρια, περφόρμερ και παιδαγωγός αναδείχθηκε το 2020 από το πρόγραμμα What If του Nebraska Public Media, το οποίο γιορτάζει την καινοτομία και τη δημιουργικότητα.

Ο Στέλιος Γιαννουλάκης είναι συνθέτης, σχεδιαστής ήχου, μηχανικός, αυτοσχεδιαστής πολυοργανοπαίκτης και ερευνητής δημιουργικής μουσικής τεχνολογίας. Κατέχει διδακτορικό στη Ηλεκτρακουστική Σύνθεση (Πανεπιστήμιο Bangor Ουαλίας, ΗΒ), μεταπτυχιακό στη Ψηφιακή Μουσική Τεχνολογία (Keele University, ΗΒ), και πρώτο πτυχίο στην Ηλεκτρονική και Βιοϊατρική Μηχανική (ΕΜΠ). Ασχολείται με ηλεκτρακουστική και δια-υφολογική σύνθεση, ηχοτοπία, ηλεκτρακουστικές συναυλίες και συνεργατικά projects (RSLG Quartet, EleKtroBalKana). Έχει δημιουργήσει μουσική και σχεδιασμό ήχου για θέατρο, συναυλίες, κινηματογράφο, χορό και video games. Σχεδιάζει ηχητικά συστήματα διάχυσης, επεμβαίνει σε κυκλώματα (circuit bending), και πειραματίζεται με μηχανισμούς παιχνιδιών και διαδραστικότητα. Συνεργάζεται με ομάδες και καλλιτέχνες, συμμετέχει σε residencies και φεστιβάλ, και έχει βραβευθεί. Διδάσκει σύνθεση και μουσική τεχνολογία στο ΚΣΥΜΕ / CMRC και το Ωδείο Αθηνών. Είναι ιδρυτικό μέλος της ΕΕΜΚΑ (Ένωση Ελλήνων Συνθετών Ηλεκτρακουστικής Μουσικής).

Η Junolia, καλλιτέχνις από τη Δρέσδη της Γερμανίας γράφει και ερμηνεύει τη μουσική τησ και τα τραγούδια της. 
Η μουσική της συνδυάζει pop με ανανεωτικά μοναδικούς και πειραματικούς ήχους, δημιουργώντας μια ατμοσφαιρική εμπειρία που είναι ταυτόχρονα οικεία και εκφραστική. Τα τραγούδια της είναι στοχαστικά, συναισθηματικά και διαποτισμένα από μια μελαγχολική διάθεση — ειλικρινή, πότε παιχνιδιάρικα, πάντα γεμάτα καρδιά.
Η διαδικασία σύνθεσης ξεκινά στο κινητό της, όπου καταγράφει αποσπάσματα σκέψεων και μελωδιών καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια της ημέρας, τα οποία στη συνέχεια αναπτύσσει σε ολοκληρωμένα τραγούδια χρησιμοποιώντας το Ableton. Επηρεασμένη από καλλιτέχνες όπως οι The Dø, Peach Pit και Mitski, το ύφος της ανήκει στο είδος της σύγχρονης indie pop.
Σε αυτή τη συναυλία, θα παρουσιάσει ακουστικές εκτελέσεις: τρυφερές demo εκδοχές τραγουδιών που συνέθεσε κατά τη διάρκεια της παραμονής της στην Αθήνα, αλλά και έργα που είχε ηχογραφήσει ήδη στη Γερμανία — ερμηνευμένα τώρα μόνο με τη φωνή της και ένα πιάνο.

The Ludus Duo, featuring American musician Stacey Barelos and Italian
pianist Arianna Granieri, will present an adventurous program of works for toy piano and piano on May 30th at 9:00 PM at Ov/Off Studio. The concert will include compositions by Italian, American, and other international composers, showcasing the duo’s innovative approach to contemporary music.

Joining the bill is Greek sound artist and composer Stelios Giannoulakis and the nights opens the singer-songwriter Junolia

Ludus Duo is known for its playful yet deeply expressive performances, blending traditional and experimental techniques. This concert promises an exciting journey through unexpected soundscapes, where the delicate timbres of the toy piano meet the resonance and power of
percussion.

Bio.

Arianna Granieri is an Italian pianist, performer and improviser with multiple artistic interests, including musical research and interaction between music and other art forms. She graduated cum laude and honourable mention in Piano at the “Conservatorio Santa Cecilia” in Rome and completed cum laude her Master’s Degree in Philosophy at “Università Tor Vergata”. She has attended several masterclasses such as the Darmstadt Summer Courses, International Divertimento Ensemble Academy in Milan and New Music Week in Rome.
She played at numerous festivals, musical foundations and concert halls often performing Italian and world premieres, including Orpheus Institut (BEL), Akademie Fur Tonkust (GER) Strauss Performing Art Center (USA), Auditorium Parco della Musica, Conservatorio Santa Cecilia, Institute of Japanese Culture, ArteScienza, Nuova Consonanza in Rome, OGR in Turin, Castello di Rivoli, ERT in Modena, A.M.A. Calabria and many others, collaborating with research centers and with prominent performers, composers, researchers and musicologists such as Alessandro Sbordoni, Stefano Gervasoni, Clément Canonne, Stacey Barelos, Christina Oorebek, Alessandro Mastropietro and many others.
As a member of “Ludus Duo” with composer Stacey Barelos, she performed in 2022-23 in Italy and in the United States. She is a member of the improvisation group Exàifnes under the artistic direction of Alessandro Sbordoni, of the groups XYZ and The Empty Bowl. She also devotes herself to teaching. She has taught Piano at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia for two years as a “Cultore della materia”. She was teacher of Practice and piano reading at “Conservatorio di Trieste” and she currently teaches Piano at Guidonia High School.

Dr. Stacey Barelos is a composer, performer, and educator whose work has reached audiences across five continents. Her compositions, including Clockworks, featured at the 2023 Monte Compatri Film Festival in Rome, Italy, can be heard on the Albany, Centaur, and Blue Griffin labels. She has been twice nominated for an Omaha Entertainment and Arts Award and was selected for a Bemis Community Arts grant in 2023. In 2024, she was awarded a Fortuna grant to record sounds in the city as part of a larger composition involving found objects and toy pianos.
As a performer, Dr. Barelos specializes in the music of the 20th and 21st centuries, with a focus on living composers. In 2023, she released her third album, Toy, Toy, Toy, featuring solo and chamber works for toy piano. She also performs regularly with Ludus Duo, a keyboard duo she co-founded with Italian pianist Ariana Granieri. Her work as a pianist and composer has taken her across the U.S. and abroad, including a 2024 trip to New Paltz, NY, for the premiere of her wind ensemble piece Teleidoscope. In April 2025, she will be the headliner for the University of Nebraska-Kearney New Music Festival.
In her role as an educator, Dr. Barelos developed Soundry, an experimental music program encouraging people of all ages to explore and create with sound. Certified in Deep Listening in 2021, she offers workshops and classes throughout the Midwest and beyond. Her educational innovations include Creativity Cards, released in 2022, a set of flashcards designed to foster creativity in piano and string students. Dr. Barelos’s multifaceted contributions as a composer, performer, and educator were highlighted in 2020 on Nebraska Public Media’s What If, a statewide program celebrating innovation and creativity.

Stelios Giannoulakis is a composer, sound designer, engineer, improvising
multi-instrumentalist, and creative music technology researcher. He holds a PhD in Electroacoustic Composition (University of Bangor Wales, UK), an MA in Digital Music Technology (Keele University, UK), and a first degree in Electronic and Biomedical Engineering (National Technical University of Athens). Electroacoustic and cross-genre composition, soundscape recording, electroacoustic concert performances, and group projects (RSLG Quartet, EleKtroBalKana). Junolia is a singer-songwriter and artist from Dresden, Germany.
Her music blends pop with refreshingly unique and experimental sounds, creating an atmospheric experience that feels both intimate and expressive. Her songs are thoughtful, emotional, and shaped by a sense of melancholy — honest, sometimes playful, always full of heart. Her songwriting process begins on her phone, where she collects fragments of thoughts and melodies throughout the day, later developing them into full songs using Ableton.
Influenced by artists like The Dø, Peach Pit, and Mitski, her style has found its home within the genre of contemporary indie pop, while this concert will feature her acoustic versions: heartwarming and raw demo versions of songs she has written during her stay in Athens, as well as pieces recorded already back in Germany — performed this time simply with her voice and a piano.

Το KRAMA προσκαλεί τον Έλληνα συνθέτη Κωστή Δρυγιανάκη για ένα μοναδικό showcase του έργου του Optiki Mousiki – Tomos 2 (1994) που επανακυκλοφόρησε πρόσφατα από τις Heat Crimes & Untag.

Στόχος της εκδήλωσης είναι να παρουσιαστεί το έργο του Κωστή, η έμπνευση του και η δημιουργική του διαδικασία, ενώ παράλληλα να προσφέρει μια ματιά στο μουσικό, κοινωνικό και θεολογικό περιβάλλον της εποχής. Θα πραγματοποιηθούν παρουσιάσεις και συζήτηση με συντονίστρια τη συνθέτρια και ερευνήτρια Νίκη Κρασάκη, στις οποίες θα συμμετάσχουν ο Κωστής Δρυγιαννάκης, ο μουσικός δημοσιογράφος Χάρης Συμβουλίδης και ο θεολόγος Παντελής Καλαϊτζίδης, προσφέροντας τις σκέψεις και παρατηρήσεις τους για το πώς το συγκεκριμένο έργο αλλά και η συνολική avant-garde μουσική σκηνή στην Ελλάδα μεταξύ των μέσων του ‘80 και ‘90 επηρεάστηκε από τις world musics, τις τοπικές παραδόσεις & κοινότητες αλλά και την πνευματικότητα.

Μετά τη συζήτηση θα ακολουθήσει Q&A, και στο τέλος ένα DJ set από τον μουσικό αρχειοθέτη Paul Paulun- με πάνω από 10 χιλιάδες αρχειοθετημένες κυκλοφορίες, ο ιδιοκτήτης του Sounds Central θα παρουσιάσει μια προσωπική ιστορία της μουσικής και της ηχητικής τέχνης. ✨

KRAMA Week | Day 2 | 28 May

Showcase at @ov_off_studio_gr, Feidippidou 22, 3rd floor

KRAMA invites Greek composer Costis Drygianakis for a unique showcase of his work Optiki Mousiki – Tomos 2 (1994) that was recently re-released by Heat Crimes & Untag.

The event aims to present Costis’ work, his inspiration and creative processes, while offering a glimpse of the musical, social and theological environment under which the work was created. It will feature a panel discussion moderated by composer and researcher Niki Krasaki, joined by Costis Drygianakis, music journalist Xaris Symvoulidis and theologian Pantelis Kalaitzidis, who will dive deeper into their respected fields and share their insights on how the specific work and the overall avant-garde music scene in Greece between the mid-80s to mid-90s was influenced by world musics, traditional practices, community and spirituality.

The discussion will be followed by a Q&A, and it will conclude with a DJ set by music archivist Paul Paulun- with over 10k archived releases, Sounds Central’s proprietor will present a personal history of music and sound art. ✨
